Kate Dollarhyde is a Peabody, Nebula, and GLAAD Media award-winning game designer and writer of speculative fiction.
She is a narrative designer at Obsidian Entertainment, where she has written for Avowed, Pentiment, The Outer Worlds, and the Pillars of Eternity series.
Her short stories have been published in Fireside Fiction, Lackington’s, Beneath Ceaseless Skies, and other magazines.
Previously, she was the co-editor-in-chief of the speculative fiction magazine Strange Horizons.
Kate earned a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from San Francisco State University in 2010.
She went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Museum Studies from San Francisco State University in 2013, where she trained to be an archivist.
Prior to working in games, Kate worked in the solar energy field. She lives in California.
